Isolation

With pink trickling from the sun
You don't seem to care
Sweet scent of maple syrup
On your diet, it doesn't seem fair
Waiting for it to ring
You stare at your phone
Not even telemarketers call
Now you feel all alone
You re-wash the dishes
And you drink from another mug
Your eyes get heavy and weak
Waiting for life to give you a tug
Stand there patiently
Don't go away
I will never leave you alone
Everything will be okay.
